«The Ho» is Harto’s first NFT family: a set of collectible art toys, listed on Raster as «the first NFT family of collectible art toys». 37 works are catalogued, beginning with «HO1» and its Meme and Gold editions.
The toys are simple, striped, almost featureless, and they travel. They stand in front of a hung painting beside a spilled blue balloon dog, climb a black pyramid, face a charging bull, or watch a green Pepe dance.
The titles carry the commentary: «Contemporary Art is dead», «What The Hell Is A Crypto Punk?», «The Bull run», «The price of Art», «wHO is Pepe?». The humour is the way in; the subject is a young market learning what art is worth.
Rendered 3D scenes, minted as tokens on Ethereum. «The Ho» is an ERC-721 contract with the symbol «HO». Harto’s own studio notes describe the Ho as the first collection of design toys on Rarible, made with geometric shapes and bright colours.
